The San Juan Capistrano Historical Society preserves and shares the rich history of one of California's oldest towns through its collection of historic buildings and engaging tours. The site includes the Silvas Adobe, rebuilt in 1868, and the O’Neill Museum, a restored 19th-century residence that offers an authentic glimpse into local life of the 1880s.

Silvas Adobe and O’Neill Museum from the 18th and 19th centuries

The Silvas Adobe dates back to around 1794 and was restored starting in 2009, while the O’Neill Museum, built circa 1870, is one of the first frame houses in San Juan Capistrano, furnished to reflect 1880s life.
